In July, Raisman was the focus of a documentary on Comcast SportsNet titled Aly Raisman: Quest for Gold.[47] She was filmed for nine months, from the 2011 World Championships until the Olympic Trials.[48] Along with the rest of the U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team, she was featured on the cover of the July 18, 2012, issue of Sports Illustrated. This was the first time an entire Olympic gymnastics team had been featured on the magazine's cover.[49]

Following her performance at the 2011 World Cup, Solo participated in the television show Dancing with the Stars and posed for various magazines, most notably the "Body Issue" of ESPN The Magazine.
